There are many aspects to this simple statement. Hullform offers a wide range of design tools (whatever level you are interested in, from amateur to working professional) in a mature user environment. The program's steady evolution since 1988 has allowed inclusion of enhancements and new features without drastic changes to the program's architecture.
Hullform was the first hull design program on the market with integrated plate development and drag calculations. No other stability system on the market today comes close to the power of the program's statics "add-in", Hullstat. And none does the job with the same lean, mean efficiency of Hullform.
As a result, no other offering in the hull design market can match Hullform's features, dollar for dollar. Yes, you can buy more sophisticated systems which seem to match Hullform, and add CAD-like features. But do they match those of Hullform plus a good dedicated CAD program (which you may already own)?
