"It is another International One Metre design and is called (not surprisingly when you look at the pictures) AmericaOneMeter. The similarity to AmericaOne is intentional (I just hope mine is a bit faster). My last boat "Santiam" was designed with Hullform7G and the graphing functionality in 8P was a big help for an amateur like me. Santiam had problems of noseplowing when heeled and the graph (heel vs. pitch) realy showed this. The new boat AOM is a round section and not double chine and has a different volume distribution. The heel vs. pitch plot -among other things- indicated that the design should be much better....and after building this was indeed the case (see attached pictures). Inital sailing indicates that it is faster and much more responsive and does not have the bad habits of Santiam."
